S&P CNX Nifty for the week 1 October 2012 to 6 October 2012.

The Nifty displayed bullishness on the back of short covering. If it continues to trade above the 5675 mark, it will continue to consolidate with bullish bias. For any new highs, it will have to trade consistently above the 5708 mark in the opening trades next week with immediate resistance being at 5752 and 5785. However, on account of truncated week (holiday on 2 October), volumes can drop on Monday resulting in choppy trades. Below 5675, the supports are at 5652 and 5611.

Must watch movies this Autumn.

The Weekend Verses.

                                       YOU

Uninvited, the thought of you stayed too late in my head,
so I went to bed, dreaming you hard, hard, woke with your name,
like tears, soft, salt, on my lips, the sound of its bright syllables
like a charm, like a spell.
Falling in love
is glamorous hell; the crouched, parched heart
like a tiger ready to kill; a flame's fierce licks under the skin.
Into my life, larger than life, beautiful, you strolled in.
I hid in my ordinary days, in the long grass of routine,
in my camouflage rooms. You sprawled in my gaze,
staring back from anyone's face, from the shape of a cloud,
from pining, earth- struck moon which gapes at me
as I open the bedroom door. The curtains stir.

There you are on the bed, like a gift, like a touchable dream.

S&P CNX Nifty for 27 September 2012.

The settlement day may see support at 5649, below which, it will be weak and drift lower towards 5628 and 5604. However above 5691, a fresh buying may emerge.

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Monday, September 24, 2012

S&P CNX Nifty for 25 Septemeber 2012.

This being settlement week, the market may tend to be more volatile and show a sudden upsurge, yesterday being an inside day. However, below 5681 mark, it will continue to be weak and with supports around 5652 and below it at 5604, the market may consolidate for a while. For it to be bullish, it will have to trade above 5681 consistently, above which the resistance is at 5699.

The technical charts indicate that if Nifty holds above the 5645 mark, it will continue to be bullish with strong upsurges with immediate resistance at 5699.  However, the support of Nifty is at 5675 below which it can slide down to 5604.  If it finds support at 5604 then it will trade with a bullish bias. This being a settlement week with settlement of the September series on 27 September, a volatile move in either direction cannot be ruled out, the resistance being at 5749. Otherwise, the outlook for the market is continued bullish sentiment without any major sentiment as it moves into a new range with lower bounds at around 5450.

Weekend Verses.

Who Ever Loved That Loved Not at First Sight?

It lies not in our power to love or hate,
For will in us is overruled by fate.
When two are stripped, long ere the course begin,
We wish that one should love, the other win;

And one especially do we affect
Of two gold ingots, like in each respect:
The reason no man knows; let it suffice
What we behold is censured by our eyes.
Where both deliberate, the love is slight:
Who ever loved, that loved not at first sight?

S&P CNX Nifty for 20 September 2012.

The Nifty is exhibiting lack of commitment at higher levels and closed a shade below the tipping point which is at 5603. Below this the Nifty may weaken with supports at 5575, 5527 and then 5452. However, if Nifty trades above the 5602 mark in the opening moves, then it may show a bullish surge today. The resistance remains at 5628 and then 5660. However the outlook continues to be consolidation with an upward bias even if it weakens a bit.

Monday, September 17, 2012

S&P CNX Nifty for 18 Septmeber 2012.

The Nifty fell short of its resistance at 5660 yesterday due to lack of commitment at higher levels. It might open a bit weak today and may may find support at 5576 below which the supports are at 5528 and 5490. The breakout into a new range can only be confirmed after a few more trading sessions. However, it will be bullish and may aim again for 5660 only if it trades above 5618 consistently, the immediate resistance being 5627.

USD INR ahead.

The INR has strengthened against USD. Strength of the rupee will only be confirmed if it consistently trades below the 53.95 mark in the next few trading sessions in which case it will find supports at 52.22 and 51.9. However, above 54.48, the rupee may again turn weak.

Weekend Verses.

                                          Echo

I think I was searching for treasures or stones
in the clearest of pools
when your face ...

when your face,
like the moon in a well
where I might wish ...

might well wish
for the iced fire of your kiss;
only on water my lips, where your face ...

where your face was reflected, lovely,
not really there when I turned
to look behind at the emptying air ...

the emptying air.

Weekend verses.

It is here

What sound was that ?

I turn away,
into the shaking room.

What was the sound that came in on the  dark?
What is the maze of light it leaves us in?
What is the stance we take,
To turn away and then turn back?
What did we hear?

It was the breath we took when we first met.

Listen.
It is here.

S&P CNX Nifty for 7 September 2012.

The Nifty after bouncing from the trending line yesterday did manage to show a spurt upwards but could not sustain the gains. The outlook for today is that a bullish spurt is possible if it does not breach the 5230 mark. Below the 5230 mark, which is also the trend line point, the index may drift further down towards the 5190 mark.

Wednesday, September 5, 2012

INR-USD ahead.

Confirming the earlier predictions, the Indian Rupee has turned weak against the dollar and if it trades above the 56.10 mark then we are headed for another bout of weakness and consequent impact on other Capital markets in the country as foreign investors may turn panicky. The immediate support however is at 55.35.

S&PCNX Nifty for 6 September 2012.

The Nifty is clearly headed for 5190, if it does not take support at yesterday's low of 5315 which also happens to be the support as per the trending line. However, if it trades consistently above 5233 in today's trades, then only can one expect it to go up to the immediate resistance of 5255. Investors are advised to place bids much below the offer price in key stocks as a panic might set in in case of a slide below 5185.

S&P CNX Nifty for 5 September 2012

The Nifty did manage to reach the resistance of 5278 as predicted yesterday. However, for it to continue in its upward journey, it should not fall below 5250 and stay above 5261 for most part of the day with good volumes, the resistance above 5287 being at 5318 and then 5342. On the flip side, if it trades for longer period below 5250 then it will gradually drift downwards to 5190.

S&P CNX Nifty for 4 September 2012.

The support of 5240 held yesterday. A breach of the support of 5240 may see Nifty continue to drift gradually towards the 5185 mark. It may resume its upward trend only if it trades above the 5266 mark for longer period and then conquers the immediate resistance of 5278 conclusively.

Sunday, September 2, 2012

S&P CNX Nifty for the week 3 September 2012 to 7 September 2012.

If the benchmark index trades below the 5266 mark with good volumes then 5240 must be the immediate support and we can see the Nifty sliding gradually down to the support of 5188. Below 5185 mark, fresh shorts will be built up and all the recent gains will be given up. However, above the 5266 mark, the nifty may go up to 5280, 5320 and 5365. Charts, however. indicate bounce back and upside from here on.
